Lessons I Learned in the Dark by Jennifer Rothschild

Yesterday I bought Jennifer Rothschild's book titled Lessons I Learned in the Dark. Jennifer is an amazing woman, and I have tremendous respect for her! I saw a video where she talks about all the amazing technology there is now for the blind that helps them read documents and emails. I think that is really cool! :) If you'd like to know more about her, read Jennifer's Bio.

  1. She sounds like a remarkable woman, Cheryl. I think the gift of sight is a huge one and while I would hate to lose it, it's good to know there are women like Jennifer, who learn to live with it and contribute to the world. Unbelievable. Sincerely, Susan from writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com

  2. I've often said that if I were to lose one sense, I hope it wouldn't be my sight. I can't imagine how incredibly hard that would be. Thanks for sharing a little of Cheryl's amazing story.

  4. Good Morning you all! :) I agree with you. Loosing my site and not being able to see written words and graphics on the pages of books (or computer screens) would be devistating to me because I love to read! :)

  5. I;ve tried to close my eyes and move around. Our eyes are such a gift from God.

Just checking on you tonight - watching the Bachelor - hate to admit it, but it is true. Don't think he is going to pick the one I want for him though. He should listen to old chatty!

  6. Hi Sandie. I've been on FB and cooking supper and stuff. I was also looking for a poem that I heard on Beth Moore's Bible study of Daniel for Week 4. It was "Babel on in Babylon". I found it on someone's blog and ask for permission for a copy. I'm waiting for a reply.

I'm getting ready to go join my husband in front of the TV for a few minutes, too, and then get to bed. I dont watch the bachelor, but last season our old landlord's son was on that show. We rented from them 5 yrs ago, so it's hard for me to recall the name. He's mom's name was Barbara, but the last name escapes me. It'll come to me sooner or later. They're from Derby, KS. Well his parents are from Derby. He might have been from Colorado. Wait! You know what? I might be thinking about a different show. The show he was on had a lot of men and one woman. What's that show? The Bachelorette?
    Nite nite. ttyl :)

  7. Oh! Fanello was Barbara's last name. lol I knew I'd think of it sooner or later. But I think her son had a different last name. Oh, I'm full of help, aren't I? lol :) Nite :)

  8. Yes it was the Bachelorette - I'm silly for watching it, but my 32 year old daughter watches it and I join in!
